PA Events :

Welcome to PSSDAR

The State Conference: Each year, the PA State Society gathers to conduct the business of the organization by celebrating the accomplishments of each individual chapter, each individual state chairman, and each state officer. It is in the spring, lasting for four days. It is a time for members across the state to be with friends. Workshops are offered. Each chapter and state officer is asked to give an annual report of activities. Guests are invited. The location of the state conference varies from year to year, being held in the western, central, and eastern parts of the state every three years.

Fall Informational Meeting: During the fall, our state society gathers for workshops and fun. This is a day long event in which all members are encouraged to attend.

Chapter Benefits and Luncheons: Several chapters throughout the state will hold annual benefits with food and entertainment. Contact the chapter nearest you to find out when they have theirs.

Junior Luncheons:Three different Junior Luncheons are held throughout the year: Western, Central, and Eastern. The money from these luncheons will benefit the DAR Schools.

PA Sunday at Valley Forge: During the fall, the PA Daughters join the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) and the Children of the American Revolution (C.A.R.) to celebrate the freedoms which we enjoy here in the United States and remember all who have given of their time, talent, and lives to ensure this freedom for all.

PA Luncheon: During Continental Congress in Washington D.C. , all Pennsylvania Daughters are invited to attend this luncheon to celebrate the winners of the DAR Good Citizens award, the Outstanding Teacher of American History award, American History Essay contest, and the Christopher Columbus Essay contest.
